TWEETDECK IS NOT ONLY FOR TWITTER | REVIEW GEEK

Hello! It's been a long time since the REVIEW GEEK has been publishing cool softwares and stuff. Okay, today I'm going to share a software called TweetDeck. Upon hearing the name, you must be thinking of - yes, Twitter isn't it? 

Today, TweetDeck offers the convenience to stay in touch with Facebook, Google Buzz and Foursquare too.






This software requires Adobe AIR (Desktop version) and you'll need to install that first in order to have TweetDeck up running. Next, head up to TweetDeck official website and grab one. This software is available for Desktop, iPhone, Android and Chrome.







Although it's an Adobe AIR (the desktop one), it will create an icon and starts up the same as any other softwares. Here the simple icon looks like (lol):

BYPASS "YOU HAVE REACHED TRAFFIC LIMIT" | TSG TUTORIALS

Are you getting pissed off when you have to download items (usually huge files, 1 GB above) and the site is telling you that 'you have reached your daily traffic' or probably says 'only one parallel download allowed'. You might be interested in our previous tutorials:

The problem rises when we don't own any premium accounts. Actually, we can just simply our proxies to fool the file-sharing. How?

The file-sharing site simply detect our proxies and ports to recognized us. As Free Users, we are only allowed to download one files at a time and are limited to certain Megabytes (Mb). We can just change our machine's proxy to download more than one parallel files or download beyond the limited size per day rules.

Okay, I want to share with y'all the simple extension of Google Chrome (I'm sure there's something like this in Mozilla Firefox too. Tor is the best alternative) to simply configure the proxies for each tab. Here's how it looks like in my browser. The extension is called Proxy Switchy! Click here to grab one.

Good luck! Hope you don't get this kind of error (below). Don't ever think of spending money on these premium accounts. All you need is a little trick to prevent yourselves from being tricked by the filesharing offers or what-so-ever.

1. Simply run Google Chrome.




2. Click on the Proxy Switchy! icon > Options




3.  When the options page opens, you can make your own proxy profile.




Refer the details guideline below:

Profile name: [whatever name you prefers]
HTTP Proxy: [find this on hidemyass.com/proxy-list]
Port: [find this on hidemyass.com/proxy-list]

EXPECT UBUNTU 14.04 ON SMARTPHONES, TABLETS AND TVS | TSG NEWS

Ubuntu founder, Mark Shuttleworth planned to bring Ubuntu on TVs, smartphones and tablets on April 2014. Here's what he said in an interview with ZDNets Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols:

“As people have moved from desktop to new form factors for computing, it’s important for us to reach out to out community on these platforms. So, we’ll embrace the challenge of how to use Ubuntu on smartphones, tablets and smart-screens.”


When Vaughan-Nichols brings up about Android, here's what his reply:

“The device world is highly competitive and highly dynamic, while Android and iOS dominate handheld devices, disruptive elements could still establish themselves. Therefore, Ubuntu and Windows can still be a real force.


…from the industry viewpoint, Google acquisition Of Motorola Mobility has shook up the hardware vendors, so some of them are looking for non-Android alternatives.”




At the mention of Ubuntu tablets, he added:


“We’ve also already heard from people who are already shipping tablets that they want Ubuntu on the tablet.” 


So, this means Ubuntu 14.04 will be expected to run on mobile devices, tablets, and TVs. Do you guys think it's a little bit too late. I mean, 4 years in time? I'm afraid if the trend has changed when the Ubuntu releases its Ubuntu tablets and stuff. However, don't get upset because the Canonical does the best they could. Let's hope and pray! =D

This game is quite old by still favoured by some people. (I used to play this game until the I got bored with it and decided to try something else. lol)

SERIAL KEYS? GOOGLE CAN FIND IT FOR YOU! | TSG TUTORIALS

[Below is a searching trick to search for serial keys of just any software but most importantly must be stored on the net. Most of you readers are well-versed with this trick. I'm just sharing for beginners to have advantage when it comes to searching as advanced ones do! Purely for educational purposes. No copyright infringement intended. We're not responsible for your wrong-doings.]

Google, the search engine giant, searches for just anything in the web without failing you. Most of the time, the one you're looking for always pops up on the top of the search list. Here's a trick to search for something illegal to do. Serial keys. Don't worry, Google can find it for you!

Simply type in the name of software in the search box accompanied by this phrase FBR94. What it does is directly searches websites and servers for serial keys or anything serial key-associated files. This is a simple trick for everybody to benefit from. Here's what the search results will look like before and after using FBR94:

From the screenshot, be advised that the serials are not always shows up as you've wanted. You have to cruise into each websites listed and find it on your own sometimes.

So what does this FBR94 thing does anyway if we have to manually search in each websites listed ourselves?
You've got a point. However, like I've said earlier, Google searches for sites containing serial keys or anything associated with it. For example, keygens, keymakers, whatever you call it. Here, we can deduce that Google has shortlisted the results from "all websites containing searched phrases" to something like "all websites containing searched phrases that I want". Don't hesitate to search manually in each sites listed if the thing you want doesn't shows up as the first result.

Now you have it! Anything you wanted can always be obtained for free (but most of the time it's illegal) if you know how to do it just right. This simple tutorials ends here. Good luck!

Amateurs now are up running Ubuntu or other Linux operating systems and having problems with photos editing. Introducing, GIMP, the best alternative to Photoshop ever existed in Linux. It's already available in Windows but in Windows, it doesn't get too much attention due to its close rival: Photoshop.  However, there is still some people who favoured GIMP due to it's simplicity and use it under Windows platform. No doubts, GIMP is the most popular picture editing software in  the Linux world and today I'm going to give some tutorials on that. Until you get used to the software's environment, be free to refer to this post!

1.  Download

This is as easy as pie! Just hit Dash Home and type in Software Center.

3. Now To Put Your Knowledge To Test!

Exercise:

This is the part I think I wasted a lot of time on. We're going to go through each functions in the Toolbox one-by-one. I think this could increase your understanding about each feature more and evaluate your basic mastery at the same time. Okay, here we go:

‣ Rectangle Select Tool (Press R to toggle this ON)

Rectangle Select Tool allows you to quickly select a four-edge region.

When you're using Blend Tool or Bucket Fill Tool, you'll notice the selected regions will be filled with colors instead.
Press Shift while scaling to get a perfect square.

‣ Ellipse Select Tool (Press E to toggle this ON)

Ellipse Select Tool allows you to quickly select a no-edge region.

When you're using Blend Tool or Bucket Fill Tool, you'll notice the selected regions will be filled with colors instead.

Press Shift while scaling to get a perfect circle.

‣ Free Select Tool (Press F to toggle this ON) 

Free Select Tool allows you to quickly select a hand-drawn region.

When you're using Blend Tool or Bucket Fill Tool, you'll notice the selected regions will be filled with colors instead.

‣ Fuzzy Select Tool (Press U to toggle this ON) 

Fuzzy Select Tool allows you to quickly select regions with the same basis of color.

When you're using Blend Tool or Bucket Fill Tool, you'll notice the selected regions will be filled with colors instead.


‣ Select by Color Tool (Press Shift+O to toggle this ON) 


Select by Color Tool is more specific to certain color and will select all regions with similar colors found in the image.

When you're using Blend Tool or Bucket Fill Tool, you'll notice the selected regions will be filled with colors instead.


‣ Scissors Select Tool (Press I to toggle this ON) 


Scissors Select Tool allows you to quickly select an outlined region.

‣ Foreground Select Tool (No shortcut key for this one) 

Using a brush to select regions containing foreground objects.

‣ Paths Tool (Press B to toggle this ON) 

Path Tool is a powerful tool to create custom images or layers

Now we have a simple logo using the combination of two tools overall.

‣ Color Picker Tool (Press O to toggle this ON) 

Color Picker Tool allows you to quickly select the color from images (Note: color selection box).

‣ Zoom Tool (Press Z to toggle this ON) 

You can also simple hold CTRL while rolling the wheel in the middle of the mouse.

‣ Measure Tool (Press Shift+M to toggle this ON)

‣ The Transform Tools

The following tools are collectively called the Transform Tools.
This part I think you better figure out yourself. It does what it is described as. It is can also be found in the top menu as shown in the snapshot. It consists of:
  • ‣ Move Tool (Press M to toggle this ON) 
  • ‣ Alignment Tool (Press Q to toggle this ON) 
  • ‣ Crop Tool (Press Shift+C to toggle this ON) 
  • ‣ Rotate Tool (Press Shift+R to toggle this ON) 
  • ‣ Scale Tool (Press Shift+T to toggle this ON) 
  • ‣ Shear Tool (Press Shift+S to toggle this ON) 
  • ‣ Perspective Tool (Press Shift+P to toggle this ON)

Text Tool allows us to simply write texts on images.

‣ Bucket Fill Tool (Press Shift+ to toggle this ON) 

Bucket Fill Tool allows us to fill the selected region with a single color.

‣ Blend Fill Tool (Press L to toggle this ON) 

Blend Tool allows us to fill the selected region with color gradient.

‣ Pencil Tool (Press N to toggle this ON) 

Pencil Tool allows us to draw free-hand images. (Suitable if you have drawing tab.)

Ink Tool allows us to draw free-hand images. (Suitable for calligraphy writing.)
